Holy Mississippi Manure, Bat Man!

Ms. Lisa Staggs has joined the team with more enthusiasm then should be allowed by law. Actually she lost a bet and had to choose between joining the team and wearing a Cowboys jersey while big daddy John was bar tending. Looks like we were the lesser of two evils.

We're taking up a collection for Lisa's gas bill for traveling up this far North from Southern Mississippi. Congratulate her when you see her, as she is in the process of beginning her 15th year in college! Thirty something and still doing homework, geeeez. She also teaches kindergarten, so excuse the perpetual runny nose and sniffling.

Tim and Carol Melton have joined the team! Tim was hesitant in joining due to the amount of time his professional bowling career takes from him. Welcome them aboard and hopefully they will be at the first BBQ function opportunity soon!

We have more new members with ties to the New England area! Dennis O'conner and Bill McClusky have joined the team and have started out their membership with catching the "cornhole'n" bug.

Super Hero in our Midst!

Chris Davis; known as "Captain Awesome" in the super hero underworld, has chosen our BBQ Team to use as his secret hideout for squashing evil doers in the Midsouth area. Kryptonite will not harm him (however a shot of rumple will slow him down for .02 seconds while he downs it) and he can't see through lead, but he has been caught looking through a window or two. If you need legal advise, give Chris a call, as he has Frazier's phone number in his wallet.

Welcome Brian !

We welcome Brian McCoy to the team! Brian would have been a member sooner, but an old football injury was inflamed at the Tennessee Funfestival BBQ contest while Brian was bouncing Jim Drunkenmiller out of his tent. It was 50/50 on an amputation o f his leg, but fortunately all those jagermeister shots thinned out the blood to where the blood clots were never much of a factor. We're glad to see Brian back in shape and ready to BBQ.

Membership Rates are going up !!!!!!!!

Slightly.Unfortunately with the transaction fees from PayPal, the increase in the amount of competitions the team is wanting to do and the costs involved in providing a first class BBQ Team, the membership fees are going to have to increase slightly.

As of July 15th, 2007 the cost for a one year membership will be $300 a year and all payment methods and plans will be adjusted accordingly. Signing up prior to that date will lock your membership costs to the current $250.00 level.

If paying through PayPal the PayPal fees will be added to those amounts. For example, if paying by PayPal the one time payment will be $310 to cover the transaction fee costs from PayPal. You may still pay by cash or check and avoid the extra $10.00 fee.

This is ample notice to all that have "pledged" to be members but have not had the chance to sign up.

New Member! Is there a Doc in the House?

We are glad to announce Dr. Jeff Williams and Dr. Cheryl Williams to our BBQ Team. Jeff brings a lot of experience in the various sauce categories to the team; and he is a Rumple expert. Cheryl makes several deserts that are so rich and delicious, they are illegal in 17 states and the District of Columbia.

We welcome Ron and Kat Files to the Team. Ron has been in the restaurant business for more years then he may want to admit, so we are sure he will be contributing a wealth of information.

We welcome Bill T. Vaughn (other wise known as T-Bone) to our BBQ Team. T-Bone was regular at Quince & Kirby Mulligans before the foundation was poured.

Calender Year for Membership Dues

Our Calender year for team membership dues will run from June to May of the following year. Memberships will be within the calender year and no half or partial year memberships will be available.

The monthly payment amount will adjust accordingly for the years membership. For example; if someone were to sign up in November they would be half way through the membership year and the monthly payment plan through PayPal will double to compensate for the six fewer payments that will be taken in. As of right now the payments will be adjusted every few months to every month.
